As part of their "Muraleers" program, not-for-profit group Altruistic Current (Alt-C) design and applies for grants to creative collaborative murals made by the community. As the Artistic Director for Alt-C, I develop the design, assist in the grant-writing, and facilitate the behind-the-scenes work for all their murals. 

With Downtown Halifax Business Commission's (DHBC) annual Gritty to Pretty mural grant, we hired two local artists to add their  stylistic "icing on the cake " touches on top of Alt-C's existing painted background. Done at the height of COVID, we could not offer the Community Paint Day as we normally would.  We did supplement the event however, by handing out free seed paper bee prints during Halifax's Open City event. 

In this project, I created the design, assisted in grant-writing, prepared & painted the site, made & passed out the seed paper bees, hired & assisted the local artists for the mural.
