Let's Make a Mural!
Don’t let your art hit a wall—paint it! This class teaches mural-making basics, including practical skills for creating, collaborating, and proposing murals. Together, you’ll work on a collaborative public mural project.

Summer Art-Ventures: Comic Jam (ages 8-12)
Jam out with us as we craft our own comics! Learning about storytelling, youth will create their own 3-panel comics with sharpies and watercolours.

Summer Art-Ventures: Pixel Portraits (ages 8-12)
It’s a hit when things are 8-bit! In this activity, youth will draw themselves as pixelated characters, similar to Stardew Valley or retro video games, using sharpies, markers, and pencil crayons.

Drawing 101: Portraiture
Dust off your pencil and let’s get drawing! In this workshop, participants will learn standard tips and tricks in how to enhance their portraiture drawing. Open to artist of all levels ( especially beginners)!

Summer Art-Ventures: Screenprint Collage (ages 8-12)
Think outside the box (or screen). Youth in this activity will learn about positive & negative space by creating 2D assemblages and screenprinting them.

Summer Art-Ventures: Stuffie Still-Lifes (ages 8-12)
Turn your stuffie into a still-life! In this activity, youth will BYOStuffie to paint from with acrylics. Don’t worry, the stuffies will not get messy!

Drawing 101: Animals
You've shared so many photos of your pet, now learn to draw them! In this workshop, participants are introduced to foundational drawing lessons through the non-intimidating medium of pets and animals. Open to artists of all levels ( especially beginners)!

Benalto Art Day
Get crafty this summer! Join in Red Deer County’s art-filled day, as you work with cartoonist Blair Thorson and illustrator Amber Solberg to get messy and make art in Benalto.

Drawing 101: Still Lifes
Break down the basics of drawing! In this workshop, all beginners are welcome as we cover some simple step to help your drawing skills. By studying from 3D forms and still lifes, we'll learn how to measure & map, defining form and volume, and give an overview of perspective. All supplies are provided, all experience levels welcome!

Summer Art-Ventures: Watercolour Flower Wreaths (ages 8-12)
Your creativity will bloom as we make our own watercolour flower wreaths! This project includes using watercolours and science to create bright blooms, luscious leaves for our own wonderful wall-hanging wreaths.
